Melissa Herren

Melissa has years of experience in the construction/remodeling industry. Most of which has been spent in kitchen design. She started her career in general construction building schools and post offices for the government. From there, she expanded into learning and executing blueprints and surveying. Melissa went to Home Depot for a part time job and was recruited due to her background to be a kitchen designer. They sent her to Home Depot University for 6 months to learn kitchen and interior design, from there she became an independent contractor focusing on designing for high-end homes in Reno, NV, Austin, TX and Phoenix, AZ. Melissa traveled and enjoyed building her business. She worked closely with a custom granite company in Los Angeles, CA, traveling there on a monthly basis to pick custom granite for her clients. She returned back home to PA to open her own construction company with her twin sister, and they ran that for 5+ years doing brand new construction, remodeling, additions etc. She often found herself in the field missing the hands on experience. From time to time she would help her crew install kitchen and bathroom cabinetry. After, Melissa moved to New York, into more of an executive position as District Manager, growing her teams and motivating them to be future executives. Missing the action again, she now finds herself very excited to be working for In Stock Kitchens. Rest assured that when you work with Melissa, she knows how to design your kitchen and knows how to install it as well. Customer Service is number one for her, and she knows that making sure all details are in place up front makes for an easy transition from concept, through design to install. In Melissa’s spare time, she loves photography and spending time outdoors with her 3 puppies Marley, Tucker, and Gracie! Making your dreams come true is what she does best! You dream it, and Melissa will design it!
